This CD has 100 images, and comes with a customised image browser which allows you to search for images by keywords. You can also download our other browsers from our Internet Server, where you may search our entire image database, buy CDs directly online or download sample images. We aim to make using our images as easy as using your computer. Our web site is at www.stockpix-photos.com
What╒s on your CD?
Stockpix¬ CDs are cross platform (Macintosh & Windows) and include 100 high-resolution images at 266 dpi and low-resolution versions of the same images at 72 dpi. All images are at least A4 + 3mm bleed and are in CMYK format.
This CD also includes:
Ñ╩A Kudo¿ Reader for Macintosh and Windows which allows you to view images, search by keyword, and drag-and-drop into applications. This application requires 5 MB of RAM (but 7MB is recommended) and must be installed onto your hard disc. See instructions in the Kudo manual on the CD.
Ñ JPEG to TIFF image converter for Macintosh, located in the Utilities folder. This freeware utility converts JPEG images to TIFF on the Macintosh. This requires 4 MB of RAM and needs to be copied to your hard disc.
Using your images
You can choose to work with low or high resolution images. The low-resolution 72 dpi TIFF images are perfect for multimedia, internet and colour laser printers. These images can be imported directly into your chosen software.
The way desktop publishing applications deal with the high-resolution JPEG files varies, so we recommend copying the images you need to your hard disc and converting them to TIFF using an image editing application such as Adobe Photoshop¬ or the JPEG to TIFF application on the Macintosh.
The images have been colour corrected for high-resolution output to imagesetters and other printing devices. All images have been optimised for printing on four-colour sheet-fed printing presses on art paper or board with industry-standard dot gain.
The images used in our packaging and promotional material are those from our CDs without further colour adjustment.
